Clara Moningka is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya. She earned her Doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Gunadarma, where she developed a strong foundation in psychological theory and practice. Her academic and professional expertise lies in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, and research methodology.
In her role as Coordinator of the Apprenticeship Program, Clara oversees student placements and guides the development of professional competencies among psychology undergraduates. Since 2021, she has also contributed to national education initiatives through the development of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) modules and Early Childhood Education programs for the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program, supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
Clara has authored two international book chapters on social comparison in social media, both published by IGI Global (USA) and indexed in Scopus, reflecting her ongoing engagement with global academic discourse on digital behavior and psychological well-being. Clara teaches a range of subjects, including Research Methodology and Statistics, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Environmental Psychology. Beyond academia, she frequently serves as a subject matter expert for national media, contributing psychological insights to public discussions on education, mental health, and social issues.
Her international academic involvement includes participation in the Asian Association of Social Psychology’s Summer School program held at Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2012 and the University of San Carlos in 2015, for which she received competitive scholarships.
Clara also holds several leadership and service roles within the academic community.
She is a member of the University Senate and the Ethics Committee of the Konsorsium Psikologi Ilmiah Nusantara (KPIN). She also serves as a peer reviewer for several scholarly journals, including the Indonesian Journal of Indigenous Psychology (Jurnal Psikologi Ulayat), Biopsychosocial Journal, and the Journal of Social and Political Psychology. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences and published in journals, academic volumes, and proceedings. In recognition of her applied contributions to the field, she holds over 15 registered intellectual property rights, including psychological scale adaptations, educational modules, and intervention tools.
